People have long questioned me about my seeming youth.

Friends, colleagues, and doctors frequently comment that I appear 21 years younger than I really am. I can confidently state that my youthful skin is not a miracle, even though genetics may have some influence. It is the outcome of consistent exercise, a nutritious organic diet, and chemical-free skin care. In October 2022, I was 52 years old when I took this photo and recorded this video.

I am from Haiti, the Island of Hispaniola, or La Española. Natural and holistic health are highly valued in the Caribbean culture from which I was born. It was always said to me, "Child, drink this, eat this, it's healthy!" I never did hear the reason behind why or how that specific food or drink was beneficial to my overall health, though. Nonetheless, after 50 years of life, I would realize that my skin and body would be grateful to those beverages and foods.

I have been taking care of my skin with homemade organic ingredients for more than thirty years. I developed a strong interest in the practice of indigenous medicine as a teenager, which included natural healing methods and ways of living. I put into practice the lessons I was taught by my mother, my neighbors, my aunts, my grandmother, and everyone else I could watch. My eyes were naturally curious, and I have liked things that were natural. As I grew older, I broadened my knowledge by adopting a more empirical approach. I started researching and experimenting with my ancestors' use of ingredients and their meanings. Surprisingly, the more I learned about indigenous internal medicine, the more addicted I became to the natural way of life.

Then, I thought, what about my external beauty?

When I was 17 years old, I threw away all of my make-up that I used to wear for special occasions, and I promised my skin that it would live naturally ever after. I began to invest more in natural skin care products by purchasing from companies that use fewer chemicals in their products until I began to make my own. As I began making my own homemade products and seeing the results on my skin, I became increasingly convinced that natural products were also the best treatment for my skin.

As I got older and more people praised my young skin, I began to piece the puzzles together. I was excited to learn that almost every ingredient I used contained enzymes that could firm my skin and lessen fine lines. Of course, a portion of the credit is due to my active lifestyle and frequent exercises. To be honest, if it weren't for my homemade skincare products that reduce fine lines, my wrinkles would have been more noticeable due to the numerous sleepless nights I had consistently experienced.

So… how did I get here?

A well-known political figure that I had known for a number of years but hadn't seen in a long time happened to cross paths with me in 2021. He was surprised at how young I still was. He urged me to market my goods in addition to wanting to know my secret so he could tell his wife. He gave me the idea not long after, and it quickly became evident to me that encouraging other women to embrace their natural beauty and to lead natural lives would be a natural endeavor of my passion, time, and energy.

My company, Aneth, was founded with straightforward purpose of helping women, and men all over the world preserve their youthful appearance naturally, by providing them with my affordable, handcrafted skincare products. Additionally, I want to emphasize that aging is a normal process and that I am not deceiving anyone into believing that the aging process can be stopped by my products. What I do guarantee though is the quality of products that I am delivering to you. I formulate my products with the best organic cosmetic grade ingredients that slow down premature signs of aging. I stand by healthy ingredients that nourish our skin naturally and effectively.
