All About Skin Health!

“Food for thought for the month of August 2024, as I reflected on a few things these past few months since I opened this online store in January 2024:

Before huge machinery, our ancestors relied on their hands to manufacture natural medicine from plants and fruits, and those medicines were and are still potent since they are not modified with harsh chemicals. They are usually in their most raw and pure forms. This is the philosophy that motivates my desire to create homemade cosmetics that I can now share with the world. I wish not to change my beliefs. I’ve been like this since I was a kid, and I plan to keep it that way, even when business grows so jobs can be created and help others, and the essence of human touch remains in Aneth products. I only wish that those who still believe in mother nature and holistic medicines will continue to believe, and that those who do not believe will be willing to learn new ways of doing things and allow their body to become healthier.

Contrary to popular belief, there is no shortcut to maintaining good health (both skin and body). Adopting a natural lifestyle such as eating fresh natural or organic food, exercising, and using natural or organic skin care products, can help to avoid and/or reduce various health risks.

As I stated here before, healthy skin and overall health originate from within. Unfortunately, many of us are persuaded, taught, and/or drawn to fast fixes and synthetic remedies, which cause us to forget the genuine roots of nature and how powerful its earthy constituents are. The interesting thing is that the same synthetic traditional medicine is created from most of our plants and ingredients, but owing to extensive lab manipulation, their purest forms are transformed into harsh chemicals, and by the time we ingest them, they have become toxic ingredients rather than natural. I am neither implying that they are all bad, but unfortunately, they are mostly addictives which cause long term secondary effects in our body.

There is a close relationship between your skin and intestines. Foods and medications that you consume can have an impact on your skin, mind, and body. So choose wisely and moderately. I intend to talk about this topic more in the coming year or two, and perhaps provide a little booklet with holistic recipes for free. Yes, at this point in my life, I am more concerned with converting my sisters and brothers out there than I am with making money.

Being fortunate enough to have lived in the Caribbean, Europe, and now America, I have developed a greater appreciation for health and fitness. There are advantages and disadvantages to each of those civilizations, but American culture teaches us that quick remedy is the answer in many things that we do, and that prioritizing and valuing superficiality has become the norm.

I believe there are many more of us who want to stay authentic, and cherish what our planet has to offer for our health benefits.

Our Skin

Should we care for our skin in the same way that we do for our eyes, teeth, and other bodily parts?

Yes, without a doubt—even more so!

Why? Because in addition to being the largest organ in the body, skin serves as the body's outermost coat of defense against from external factors such as bacteria, chemicals, and temperature, and ultraviolet light that can damage skin cells.

The main factors that contribute to skin health, and which I can’t emphasize enough, are water, skincare treatment, organic healthy nutrition, and exercises.

Lets, talk about each of those beneficial factors here, and how you can stay in the game. Feel free to comment, ask questions, receive and provide tips along the discussions.

Stay tuned!

Quench your skin's thirst with the pure and simple power of water. At Aneth, we believe that hydration is the key to healthy, radiant skin. By embracing water as the first element in your skincare routine, you are setting the foundation for a beautiful complexion that glows from within. Say goodbye to dryness and hello to plump, hydrated skin with this essential element. Let water be your skin's new best friend on the journey to dewy, youthful skin. At Aneth, we recommend, for an adult, at least six water bottles, which are a total of 101.4 fluid ounces depending on your intestinal health conditions.

Water is the foundation of life, crucial for maintaining healthy, glowing skin. Regardless of genes and race, hydration is key for promoting elasticity, reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and supporting overall skin health.

Drinking an adequate amount of water daily helps skin cells function properly, leading to a vibrant complexion. Water helps in detoxification, flushing out toxins that cause dullness and blemishes.

At Aneth, we harness nature's power for healthy aging and vibrant skin. So, grab a glass of water throughout the day, nourish your skin inside out, and let your natural beauty shine through.

For those who find water too bland, squeeze a few drops of organic lime juice, and two fresh organic mint leaves to your water to change its flavor and make it more enjoyable to drink. If you are allergic to mint, replace it with a piece of fresh organic ginger root. Besides, mint, lime, and ginger have wonderful health benefits for your body and skin.

Cheers to healthy skin!

To My Kind Nepali Neighbors:

It was 7:05 PM on 06/29/24, and tired from making cosmetics. I went to the kitchen to make myself a salad. Oh, shoot, there was no cucumber!

Hey well, said myself!

So, I stepped out of the porch to eat my “sad” salad without the cucumber. As I sat down on the table to eat. On the corner of my right eye, I noticed a white flying object. I took a look and…

Surprised!
I saw two fresh organic cucumbers wrapped in a white paper towel tissue with a note: “From Our Garden! Organic!”

How Kind is this!!
Having neighbors to not only think of you as their neighbor, but also share their good with you, and save your dinner.

Not only this brought two smiles on my face, I feel so blessed to see our neighbors into organics as well!

While we are on the subject of cucumber, let me highlight the benefits of cucumbers:

Cucumbers are a powerhouse of nutrients that offer numerous benefits for your skin. Rich in antioxidants, cucumbers help fight inflammation and signs of aging, keeping your skin looking youthful. Their high water content hydrates the skin, leaving it feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Cucumbers also contain vitamin C and caffeic acid, which help soothe irritation and redness, making them perfect for sensitive skin. Additionally, cucumbers have a mild astringent property that can help tone and tighten the skin, reducing the appearance of pores.

Incorporating cucumbers into your skincare routine can promote healthy, glowing skin, naturally. Cucumber is a versatile ingredient that can work wonders for your skin. Whether used as a mask or simply placed over your eyes, cucumbers can help eliminate puffiness and reduce the appearance of dark circles. The natural cooling properties of cucumbers soothe the skin and provide a refreshing sensation, making it a perfect addition to your skincare routine. Try incorporating cucumber into your beauty regimen to experience its rejuvenating benefits firsthand.

I will be using some of the cucumbers that my neighbors gave me to make a homemade mask (nope not for sale) just for me…ha, ha!

Cucumber face mask should be the next product. Don’t you think?

Till then, talk to you all next time…whenever I can share some thoughts here!
